I’ve read numerous reviews about the packaging but Amazon customer service assured me it’s guaranteed. So when I received the Hitachi C10FSH 10-Inch Sliding Compound Miter Noticed with Laser I truly inspected carefully and took pictures. Discovered no damage, fences were square. The only the problem was the optional correct side Hitachi 321387 Sub-fence for C10FSH and C10FSB because Hitachi doesn’t include this. It is held in by 2 large metal dowel pins and tightens down with a set screw. There’s an 1/8″ play at the top of the fence without tightening down the setscrew. After tightening down the set screw, the sub-fence isn’t square/level to the other fence on the left side.

This is the second Hitachi C10FSH that I’ve owned. I looked at all the others but knew this saw inside and out and how great it truly is. For the record, my other one is still in service at home while the new one is about the job site.It shows up each and every day ready to operate.

The fences don’t line up perfectly, and I can see that someone was monkeying around with them as the bolts that hold the fences in place had been all scratched and worn. Truly would have liked to get a new noticed, since that is what I thought I purchased.

i’m a contractor and have owned several makes of miter saws, craftsman, delta, etc. no other miter noticed comes close to this one. has the power and precision to work flawlessly on any project large or little.i have used this saw for about three years,without a hitch.
